“Incredibly frustrating”
We’re assuming most Pure Xbox readers aren’t using their Xbox 360 consoles anymore, but just in case you are, you may have noticed over the past few days that you’ve been struggling to sign into the Xbox Live servers.
The Xbox 360 subreddit has been filled with players complaining about this recently, sharing error messages that they’ve been getting and questioning what the issue is. Here’s a look at just a couple of examples:
Now, as mentioned, this is apparently a server issue on Microsoft’s end, as evidenced by the XBLStatus website which is regularly indicating that the “System Challenge” is “Inoperational”. We’ll be honest, we have no idea what that means, but clearly something needs fixing – and hopefully Microsoft is trying to solve it as we speak.
There are some already speculating that perhaps this means the beginning of the end for the Xbox 360 servers, but hopefully that’s not the case. Instead, it probably just indicates that Microsoft isn’t putting much of a focus on them these days, which sadly makes sense. Nevertheless, let’s hope this problem gets resolved sooner rather than later.
